^MN: Media Tracking (ZPL)

Selects gap, continuous, or black-mark media tracking.

Media tracking tells the sensor how to find the start of the next label. Y and W look for a gap or web, M looks for a black mark, and N means continuous stock with no index. Die-cut shipping labels almost always want gap tracking. Receipt-style continuous stock wants N, or the printer will hunt for a gap that is not there and feed a long strip. Black-mark stock that is set to gap tracking skips or stops in the wrong place. Calibrate after changing this, then save. If labels drift by a fixed amount after the right tracking mode is set, adjust label top or tear-off rather than flipping the sensor mode again.
