Zebra ZD421

ZD421 4 inch desktop, ZPL, successor to the ZD420.

The ZD421 is the later 4 inch ZPL desktop. It covers the same shipping-label job as the ZD420 and adds options such as wireless that do not change the bitmap path. Use 812 dots for a 4 inch label only after the head reports 203 dpi. A 300 dpi head needs a larger dot count for the same physical width. The speed range and 832 dot width are unverified defaults so a tool has somewhere to start. Product ids are empty. Read identification and the resolution key on connect, then show this profile as a hint rather than as a measured spec sheet.

This profile is a starting point. Dpi, top speed, and USB product id were not confirmed on hardware in this toolkit. Read the printer's own configuration label before you rely on the numbers.
