^LL: Label Length (ZPL)

Sets the label length in dots for the current format or calibration.

Label length is the distance, in dots, that the printer treats as one label. A 6 inch label at 203 dpi is 1218 dots. On gap stock the sensor still finds the gap, and this value is a hint. On continuous stock it is the actual feed distance, so a wrong length reprints a slice of the next form. Do not use a huge length to nudge the tear bar. That feeds extra media and can look like a second blank label. Use tear-off for a small present adjustment. Set the length to the real label, calibrate, and save. Maximum label length is a related setting and should stay a little longer than one label plus the gap.
