^PR: Print Rate (ZPL)

Sets how fast the media moves while printing, in inches per second.

Print rate picks the media speed used while the head is printing. Optional later fields can set slew and backfeed speeds, but a single number is enough for setup. Slower speeds usually make small barcodes cleaner. Faster speeds shorten a batch and often need a darker setting to keep the same contrast. The printer silently clamps a number that is higher than the mechanism can run, so a desktop that tops out at 6 ips will not actually run at 12. Change speed with a known label, not during a live order, and save only after the barcode still scans.
