Zebra LP 2844

Older desktop that speaks EPL2, commonly 203 dpi.

The LP 2844 is the EPL2-era desktop used for years as a shipping printer. It does not speak ZPL unless the hardware is the Z variant. Treat width and length with the EPL commands, and send a graphic with the GW wrapper rather than a ZPL graphic field. 203 dpi and a 4 inch head are the usual numbers. Speed tops out lower than later ZPL desktops. All of those figures are unverified here. If a unit answers ZPL identification, it is not this profile. Use the LP 2844-Z profile instead.

This profile is a starting point. Dpi, top speed, and USB product id were not confirmed on hardware in this toolkit. Read the printer's own configuration label before you rely on the numbers.
