interface.network.active.ip_addr

Reads the IP address of the active network interface.

Active IP address returns the address the printer is using right now on whichever interface is up. It is a get-only view, not the place to configure a static address. A typical reply is a dotted IPv4 string. No address, or zeros, means the interface has not obtained one. The library rejects a set so a tool cannot accidentally write this key. Change address through the documented configurable IP keys if you must. Pair the value with identification when you file a printer report, and do not treat it as stable across DHCP renewals.
