appl.name

Reads the application firmware name.

Application name reports the firmware application currently running, which is how you tell a ZPL build from an unexpected download. The value is read-only. It changes when firmware is updated, not when you save darkness or width. Pair it with host identification. One gives a model line and the other gives the application package name. If a feature in this spec is missing on the printer, quote this string in a bug report along with the model.
